How does your media product represent particular social groups?
At the end of the video the final clip is cut short, this was due to the lack of storage on the camera at that time. However we were unaware of this until we came to edit it.
If the camera hadn't stopped filming we were about to discuss another theory that our opening sequence supports and that's Laura Mulvey's, the theory states that women in the media are treated as objects and that there are two main roles for women and this is called the "virgin/whore dichotomy". Our opening supports this as the wife is treated as an object and like she belongs to the husband as he's tied her up so she can't cheat on him again, she is also represented as a 'whore' in the film by being unfaithful to her husband.
